Steven A. Billado, 64, of Barre, Vt., passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, in Barre, surrounded by family.
Born on October 14, 1961, in South Burlington, Vt., Steven A. Billado spent many years working in his father’s business, Billado Roofing. In later years, he worked, played bingo and enjoyed metal detecting. He also enjoyed card games and reading to his grandchildren, moments that brought many laughs. He was known as an amazing Ompa.
Family was central to Steven’s life. He loved his daughter, Ashley Perrotte, and his grandchildren dearly, and he made them a priority. Those named in remembrance of Steven include his mother, Nathalie Senna of Burlington, Vt.; brother David and Sue of Richmond, Vt.; brother Christopher of New York; nephew Dylan; daughter, Ashley Perrotte, and her fiancée, Chris Pizano, of Barre, Vt.; granddaughters, Raelynn, Holly and Lilly of Barre, Vt.; grandsons, Kadin and Dolan Pizano of Rutland, Vt.; and his dear friend and caregiver, Francine Perrotte. He is also remembered by many aunts and uncles and by many friends within his church group.
He was preceded by his father, David Billado Sr., and his nephew Christopher Billado Jr.
The family extends thanks to Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice for the tender care given to Steven.
