A group of University of Utah students calling themselves “No More Porn” is complaining because students in an English class there were required to read Alison Bechdel’s graphic memoir Fun Home. The group has started a petition to protest the book.
Bechdel, who lives in Bolton, mentioned it on her blog.
This is not an April Fool’s Day joke. Sounds like one, though, doesn’t it? I mean, since when do college students complain that there’s too much porn on campus? Weird. It’s like a story out of a parallel universe.
Oh, wait, it’s a story out of Utah. Which is kind of the same thing.
