I remember Holden from Pretty & Nice when he was just a lad. He’d shuffle into Pure Pop and try to get me to listen to lame bands like Braniac. Actually, that group was pretty decent — as far as nerdy indie-punk/electro goes, anyway.

Now Holden is all growed up and kicking ass. P&N are about to release their debut full-length, Pink & Blue. I think it’s really quite good.

It puts a smile on my sourpuss face.

Got something to say?

  1. Hey man. Dale Crover is the drummer for The Melvins. Joe Preston was their bassist for a brief period and now plays as Thrones.

  2. Yeah, I know… I caught that just after it went to print. I had Joe on the brain, ’cause he’s also on the new Sunn O)))/Boris record, which I just reviewed somewhere else.No excuse though. Fuckin’ sloppy. But just know that I know. ‘Cause I know.

  3. Kinda looks like, huh? Speaking of PP, is JC still down there? ‘Cause I need to go pee in his soda for posting off topic and subtly mocking me.
