11/5/16: Kat Wright and the Indomitable Soul Band have been fixtures in the local music scene for the past six years. The Burlington octet have simplified their name to Kat Wright and are releasing their debut album on November 18 with a show at the Higher Ground Ballroom.
Eva spent an afternoon chatting with lead singer Kat Wright about her evolution as an artist and how she got stuck in Vermont. We also caught up with Kat at Radio Bean‘s Sweet 16 Birthday Bash on Saturday. Eighty plus musical acts performed that day and late into the evening. Kat Wright took to the stage after her husband, Radio Bean owner Lee Anderson, smashed a birthday cake on the ceiling. It’s an annual tradition at the Bean and the crowd went wild.
