2/25/17: The World Armwrestling League Vermont Qualifier was held Saturday afternoon at the Village Tavern in North Ferrisburgh. Grimacing faces, flexed muscles and good natured competition marked the day for the dozens of competitors who travelled to Vermont from all over New England.

We visited with Bill Sinks, an arm wrestling legend, at his home in Weybridge for a training session earlier in the week. During Bill’s 26 years pulling, he has accumulated about 200 wins, including state and national titles and top 5 finishes at the world championships. Bill’s goal is to grow this sport in Vermont, get younger kids involved and give back to this community which has awarded him so much.

You can see Bill, and perhaps some other Vermonters, compete at the WAL Championships on June 29th on ESPN.
