  1. Although Democratic Party has never particularly been known as the party of economics, the F-35 “jobs” argument has always been incomplete because there has never been a real economic study of its impacts. As mocked, somewhat painfully here, there have been PR-funded “jobs” arguments but never a study of net economic impact done by a real economist. Net economic impact looks at both positive and negative impacts. Like net profit, not just gross. In spring of 2013, former Democratic Party State Representative George Cross of Winooski introduced legislation to conduct such a study. His Democratic colleagues denied him, apparently under direction of Shap Smith and Shumlin. Same thing happened in Boise, Idaho. Professional PHD economist, Dr. Kevin Cahill, was forced to call out Boise for its sole focus on positive impact with zero analysis of negative impact.

OTOH, US Air Force did examine economic impact, both positive and negative, among other factors, such as public health and environment. After doing so, as was previously reported, Burlington was ranked dead last, behind guard base in Jacksonville, Florida; and McEntire Guard base in rural Richland County, South Carolina.

Democratic Party can make no claim to being party of economics; science; public health or environment. When it is actively ignoring US Air Force’s own Environmental Impact Statement on all of above factors. Also seems to be a pivot toward Democrats using buzz words like “diversity.” However, it has no claim here either since demographics most negatively impacted are Vermont’s most diverse population. Democrats vulnerable because they embody environmental racism. Not clear what Dems stand for at all.

  2. Production value matches the quality of the satire. Thumbs down. The most impressive aspect of this is how hard he panders to the left, honesty amazing.
