An amazing culmination of 500 (count ’em) episodes of “Stuck in Vermont” It is so well crafted that there is no need to spend all that time to see any other episode. Thank you, Eva
Fantastic fantastical 500th episode!
We are so grateful for your being stuck here!

You’re the best Eva…The 500th episode of SIV was classic.
If you ever get to Canada.
Look me up…

Way to go, Maria Von Mary Tyler Dorothy Sollberger. We think you’ll climb every mountain because there’s no place like home where you’re gonna make it after all!
P.S. Congratulations Eva!
Loved watching this piece. It does a great job capturing the spirit of our wonderful State.
I am disappointed that from what I can tell, every single person shown in the video is white. Especially with everything going on in our country and the fantastic diversity here in Chittenden County, this was a missed opportunity and feeds the perception that Vermont, as welcoming as it may be, is not consistently perceived as welcoming to people of color here. Maybe next time Seven Days can be more aware of this.
Sweet little video – love the cameos and Eva’s singing – but Victor Prussack’s comment is right on the mark. Who was left out of this piece speaks volumes. #stuckinvermontsowhite
Hello Victor,
I agree that the 500th should have been more diverse and it is something I deeply regret. As you mentioned in a private email to me, you did briefly see Reuben Jackson in the beginning and you may have missed the appearances by the Vermont Nepali Cultural Heritage Dance Group in the opening dance number and end credits who also appeared in a Stuck in Vt back in February:

Over the years I’ve covered a lot of groups from our community and my goal was to include many of them in this video as a way to revisit our old friends. I invited many of these diverse groups and individuals to appear in the opening dance number but most were unable to attend.
I really wanted this video to accurately represent our community and to that end, I invited hundreds of people via Facebook to the finale dance scene and I invited hundreds of people to sing on the finale song composed by the Smittens. We organized a pop up recording studio at Waking Windows back in May and anyone who showed up was included. All of this was done in an effort to include as many community members as possible. But it wasn’t enough and I should have tried harder.
I wish the 500th represented our community better. It’s something I’ll always regret but please keep an eye on Stuck in Vermont as we will continue to cover our diverse community for years to come.
Thanks very much, Eva
Hey Todd,
I responded to your similar comment on Facebook with this:
Todd, you are entirely right. For what it is worth, I’ve covered many diverse groups in our community over the years in Stuck in Vermont. And when I imagined the 500th opening number in my head, many of these groups were in it, showing what a diverse community we are. Logistically, it didn’t come to pass and I sincerely regret that. I also invited hundreds of people to the finale number and invited hundreds to sing on the finale song. I really did want this video to be inclusive and representative of our state. I failed that mission and I should have tried harder. I will continue to cover our diverse community going forward as this is what makes our state so great.
Hello Eva,
Don’t let anyone shackle your artistic voice. Your heart is large and your enthusiasm is even greater.
