Since 1986, bandmates Alyson Palmer, Amy Ziff and Elizabeth Ziff have cultivated distinctive tunes and a tenacious devotion to equal rights, exhibited by the group’s creation of the BETTY Effect — a nonprofit focused on helping folks in marginalized communities find and share their voices.
