1/29/15: This week is the Love & Marriage issue of Seven Days and what better way to celebrate than with a video featuring a unique Vermont couple, Lisa and Roy Haynes. Lisa is a former professional wrestler who has rescued over 3,000 cats and dogs with her 20 year old non-profit Save Our Strays. Roy is known far and wide as the “Cheapest Man in America” and has appeared on countless tv shows like Ripley’s Believe it or Not, ABC’s 20/20 and more recently, TLC’s Extreme Cheapskates.
Just how does this odd couple make their 30 year relationship last? Eva went to their home in Huntington to find out.

Great video. Great couple. Comedian Gary Gulman says, ‘People always say, “Congratulations on getting married.” They should say, “Congratulations on staying married.” That’s much harder.’ You picked a fabulously interesting couple and did a wonderful job showing who they are.
