About this guide

On Monday, April 8, 2024, at precisely 3:26 p.m., Vermont will be witness to one of our solar system’s most spectacular celestial events: a total solar eclipse. The eclipse will span North America, from Mexico to eastern Canada, with the Green Mountain State directly in the “path of totality” — that’s where the moon will completely block the sun from view and cast a shadow over the Earth.

Tens of thousands of visitors are expected to descend upon the state to experience this once-in-a-lifetime cosmic convergence.
