City Market members, who pay $15 a year to be vested customers, recently received checks for a portion of “patronage refunds” totaling $268,000.

The refund amount was based on how much the customer bought over the preceding fiscal year. The checks ranged from $1.03 to a whopping $946.45. Someone with an appetite for saffron and truffle oil?
