Flooding at the King Street ferry dock and the road leading to Spot on the Dock will delay the opening of the lakefront restaurant until June 12, general manager Shannon Lipkin said.

The seasonal business had been scheduled to open for its third season in mid-May, before rainy weather and a rising lake intervened. The restaurant’s outside bar and dining area are covered in about four inches of water, Lipkin estimated, while the parking lot and marina road are submerged in perhaps a foot.

  1. Hopefully the owners pay their help overtime this year and no longer take advantage of workers under 18 after having been fined over $110,000 by the Federal Department of Labor for claiming ignorance about the labor laws.
Are the already high prices going up to make up for their penalty for breaking the law?
Exploitation of Workers in the land of Bernie, imagine that.
