Attorney; attorney general of Vermont.

Should the Office of the Attorney General prosecute more criminal cases in Vermont?

I’ve prioritized prosecuting the most serious crimes, including homicides, sexual assaults and child abuse, at the statewide level. My office has also stepped in when needed to support the criminal justice system at the county level, ensuring it functions in a way that serves both the community’s and Vermont’s interests.

What would be your priority for the coming term as AG?

My priority is always standing up against those who hurt Vermonters. Whether it’s protecting our children from threats on the internet, standing up against corporations using unlawful tactics that drive up costs or suing the federal government for violating the Constitution, I will always step in and uphold the law.

Should the Office of the Attorney General prosecute more criminal cases in Vermont?

I will enforce the law fairly and impartially to deliver a safe Vermont by prosecuting wrongdoing, protecting victims, stopping catch and release of repeat offenders, and treating crimes against children including trafficking as priorities. Investigate state oversight failures before national embarrassment occurs, such as the EB-5 scandal.

What would be your priority for the coming term as AG?

I will reorient the office toward core state responsibilities — public safety, government accountability, consumer protection and environmental enforcement under existing statutes rather than high-volume litigation against the federal administration on climate, DEI, gender/medical, sports/participation and election administration issues that risk federal funding and deepen political division.
