During Restaurant Week, there are any number of ways to plan your meals out. And if your priority is a table with a view, at least two eateries are ready to oblige.
Burlington seafood mecca Shanty on the Shore is perched on the edge of Lake Champlain; here, diners can jumpstart their $25 dinner with a plate of fried calamari tossed with garlic butter and banana peppers, move on to a maple-ginger broiled salmon, and finish off with Shanty chocolate mousse pie, just as the sun goes down.
In a hillier but no less spectacular locale, the Foundry Pub & Grille at Jay Peak offers a view of the mountain as well as a $25 dinner menu full of morsels such as duck pockets in an apple-cinnamon yogurt sauce and grilled sirloin with roasted-shallot Marchand de Vin sauce and parsnip puree. Those that manage to leave room for a vanilla-bean crèmé brûlée or chocolate lava cake might need a splash through the Pump House to burn it all off.
