What is your position on the war with Iran?
I’m a West Point graduate, combat veteran. I pray for peace on Earth. Iran harbors/supports terrorists and is developing nuclear weapons. To make America and the world safer, I support actions against Iran; not forever wars and actions that don’t account for strategic interests (Strait of Hormuz).
Should sitting members of Congress be able to trade stocks?
No. In order to remove the perception and reality of insider trading, on both sides of the aisle, I would support legislation banning senior members of all three U.S. government branches from trading stocks while in office.
Would you be willing to work with Democrats?
Yes. Our Constitution is about collaboration; its legislative framework produces results that come from somewhere in the middle. I’m not about angry rhetoric/bashing/not producing results. I’m running for Congress to produce federal/state/economic results to return Vermont to being an affordable/safe place to thrive.
What is your position on current immigration enforcement efforts?
I support long-overdue immigration reform based on former U.S. representative Barbara Jordan’s past proposal. I support law enforcement and secure borders to curb our crime/drug problems. I support deporting criminals that are not here legally. I do not support an effort to track down every law-abiding undocumented immigrant.
