Pursuant to the requirements of 24 V.S.A. §4444(b):
Statement of purpose:
planBTV New North End provides guidance for future public investment, policy decisions, and private development, balancing housing, affordability, environmental stewardship, and quality of life. The plan is organized around three interconnected frameworks (transportation, Urban Design, and Placemaking) and an implementation strategy with short-, medium-, and long-term actions to support a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable neighborhood where residents can more easily access housing, services, recreation, and daily needs.
Geographic areas affected:
While planBTV New North End strategies are largely limited to the area of Burlington north of Institute Road and North Avenue, the plan also has potential impacts on all of Burlington and the surrounding region.
List of section headings affected:
planBTV New North End is to be incorporated by reference into planBTV: Comprehensive Plan (2019) as well as planBTV 2050 once adopted.
