  1. Martha Warner was a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person. I will always remember her kindness and inspiration during a difficult time in my life. She was a person who made a difference in so many peoples lives.

  2. While I am just hearing about about her death three years after the fact, I am sorry to hear of Martha’s passing. She was a fine social studies teacher and took a radically active approach to teaching the Comparative Cultures class that I took as a 9th or 10th grader at CVU in the later 1980s. This was much needed, given the higher level of cultural diversity that this typically homogeneous school was experiencing at the time. I remember her teaching the Bafa Bafa game through which I met one of the exchange students who would soon after become one of my housemates. Martha’s message of openness to cultural diversity lives on through her many students!
