On the evening of July 17, 2026, our dear husband, father and grandfather passed on to be with his Creator. Our family is grateful that his passing was peaceful, while at home on his beloved farm and surrounded by loved ones. He lived a full and beautiful life with many interests, adventures and friends. Family, the farm and his faith were his great passions. He will be remembered especially for his determination, generosity, humility and humor. Our thanks to all who have supported our family and to the University of Vermont Home Health & Hospice for the tireless care and support over the years. The family is taking time with planning a celebration of life at a future time.

A WONDERFUL LIFE. WELL LIVED.
A kind and wonderful man.
He was a champion in everything he did! We are all better people because we knew him! He touched the hearts of so many!! RIP, Eddie❣️
Dr. Guilfoy was my eye doctor and my friend – I loved visiting him at his office in Essex, Vermont. His eye exams were always joyful, and he made me laugh. A most fun-loving soul was Ed Guilfoy and I am so sorry he has passed away. My love to his family and friends and our shared Huntington Community.
Dr. Guilfoy was a skillled eye surgeon whom I enjoyed working with. A kind human being to all. RIP
What a beautiful farm and family legacy he leaves. Our best to Meg and family.
I’m very sad to hear of Ed’s passing. He was a generous and kind man. I’ll never forget the time my young son, Noah, had an accident with his eye and Ed invited us over to his home where he attended to Noah, saving us a trip to the emergency room. My condolences to Meg and the rest of the family.
Julie & I loved Ed and are saddened by his passing.
However. we know he is now in the presence of the Lord!

So very sad to hear of Ed’s passing. I will never forget the care, love and kindness this man showed me. I will always picture you at GHF in your element, Ed. It was a heaven on earth that you created, and I will be forever grateful for your generosity in sharing it with myself and so many others.
