Eleanor Mood, 98, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026, surrounded by those she loved.
Born February 13, 1928, in Syracuse, N.Y., Eleanor was the daughter of Charlotte Lynch and John Paul O’Brien. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, John “Jack” Mood, and their daughter, Lisa.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Bolster (Glen), Thomas Mood (Jeannine) and Desiree Nichtula (James); eight grandchildren; and great-grandson, Ezra.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2026, 11 a.m., at Holy Family Catholic Church, Lincoln Street in Essex Junction. Interment will take place at a later date at Resurrection Park in South Burlington.
