Beverly A. Allen, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014 with her family by her side at Starr Farm Nursing Center.

She was born at Copley Hospital in Morrisville on Feb. 17, 1953 the daughter of Fay William and Beulah A. (Bapp) Smith. On Aug. 23, 1980, Bevie married Richard “Dickie” Allen and moved to live with him at 54 North St. There, they ran their convenience/grocery store known as R.& B. Allen Beverage Center for many years and were loved by many in their community.

Bev leaves 3 loving sisters and spouses: Brenda Wells of Hyde Park, Debra “Deb” and Larry Webb of Hardwick and Barb and David White of Witherbee, NY; her in-laws: Peter Allen of Marietta, GA and his family along with Eva Bapp of Hyde Park; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, her special loyal, caring long-time friend, George Taft and many loving, caring and compassionate individuals at Starr Farm Nursing Center.

Along with her loving husband and parents, Bevie was pre-deceased by her brothers and wives: Bernard Bapp, Donald “Donnie” and Edith Smith and Robert “Bob” and Polly Smith.

Visitation is on Friday in Elmwood-Meunier Funeral Chapel, 97 Elmwood Ave. from 11 am until the Memorial Services at 1 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow in New Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Plattsburgh Ave.
