Vermont singer-songwriter Emma Cook has dropped a music video for her new single, the jazzy, indie pop-leaning “Into My Heart.” The video features dancers Stephanie Schramm and Annie Baron frolicking down Battery Street in Burlington on an autumn day.

The track is an advance single from Cook’s forthcoming album Of the Morning, due out on February 24. It’s the first first solo LP in more than a decade for Cook, who’s spent years playing with her folk-funk outfit, Emma Cook & Questionable Company, as well as folk trio EmaLou & the Beat.

In an email to Seven Days, Cook said “Into My Heart” is “an ode to the feeling of being with someone you adore, while feeling adored.”

Cook appears on Arty LaVigne‘s “Local Music Showcase” on 104.7 FM the Point on Sunday, March 8, at 6:30 p.m. to talk about Of the Morning. She plays an album release show at the Higher Ground Showcase Lounge in South Burlington on Saturday, March 14, with fellow Vermont acts Reid Parsons and Danny & the Parts.
