Last week, we reported a rumor that Karl Lagerfeld bought property in Vermont.

One of the people who spoke up in the comment thread cast doubt on the news, but I just got a voicemail message that may prove it to be true. “My friend told me that there was something in Seven Days about Karl Lagerfeld buying a house in Vermont,” says the woman on the message. “I’m not sure if this is something you’re interested in, but he bought my house.”

She left her phone number. We’re going to call her back and let you know what we find out.
