Every so often, Seven Days produces special issues — i.e. the Animal Issue, the Money Issue, the Hunting Issue, etc. This week’s theme is “The Innovation Issue.” It’s in conjunction with the Vermont 3.0 Innovation Jam that we’re sponsoring on Monday at the Sheraton.

This week you can read about local defense contractors, an iPhone game designer who lives in Huntington, a family-owned Winooski company that makes life-saving sensors and new robotic milking machines. Here’s a complete list of stories.

This issue also gave Eva Sollberger an excuse to visit the Emergent Media Center at the Champlain Mill in Winooski, which she profiles in this week’s episode of “Stuck in Vermont.”

Shameless plug: If you’re looking for a job, or want to start a business, or want to network with local techies, check out the Innovation Jam on Monday. There are 60+ exhibitors, workshops offering business start-up help and a CEO-founder speaker series featuring execs from six local companies. Plus, it’s free. Here’s the schedule.
