One reply on “Seriously: Who’s Driving This Thing?”

  1. Bryan wants you to believe that you only have two choices, and he wants you to vote early before you find out about your other choices. You have 4 more choices of candidates for Governor. AS you all may know in your heart there are more issues to face than simply broadband and solar and keeping VT taxes low, we have crimes against the people and against humanity going on in our name by governments of both parties. Vermonters should be seeing all the candidates debate against one another, and VERMONTERS should be the ones to make the choice. VERMONTERS are far better suited to make that choice than the press. DOES seven days think Vermonters are too stupid to choose between more than 2, and have they decided the elections pretty much in advance? Voters may want to take the policy suggestion from one and have the candidate they vote for employ it. Vermonters may want a leader who will create a new paradigm, like myself. Our democracy is in more danger every time another reporter suggests you are only have the choice between 2 when you really have 6 to choose from. Somehow, the press has decided that their freedom gives them the right or responsibility to end your freedom of choice, that their freedoms should be used to maintain the two party system by censoring a fair competition. The same two party system that mass incarcerates its people and separates children from families and drops 144 bombs a day on 7 countries we aren’t at war with. Are these parties going to stop the rat race and let us get to work on climate change? Ask yourself- could there be another choice that may lead you to a new paradigm, a choice that 7 days covers up? You can’t make a choice you don’t know exists. When 7 days assumes you don’t need to see a fair and open democratic coverage process with all 6 of your choices, they undermine democracy. You may have a better choice that you don’t know about, a choice that will lead Vermont to higher moral ground. empeyton.com
