Old Gold has been making an impression on Main Street in downtown Burlington since 1977. They are known far and wide as the place to shop for vintage, party-gear and quirky ephemera. This year they are making a big move up the street and selling off lots of merchandise, everything in the store is 50% off.
We spent a Saturday afternoon at the historic spot playing dress up and sharing our memories with shoppers about this space. Eva has been visiting Old Gold since the ’80’s and recalls making the trek from Johnson to the big city to browse its racks. The last day to visit the Main Street location is December 23rd from 12-5pm, and you can find Old Gold at 151 Cherry Street beginning on February 1, 2019.

I still have beautiful apparel purchased at Old Gold; a fabulous black cashmere coat and an Aquasctum coat that the fine folks here in Boston seem to love. This was early ’80’s when I was illustrator at Magram’s, my husband Head Chef at Cityside Restaurant and my daughter a BHS student. Thanks!
Proud to say that my wife and I bought our wedding outfits at Old Gold 30+ years ago. Still have them. She was beautiful. Still is.
