Fork_foodWe’re about halfway through Restaurant Week, and our waistlines are gradually expanding. We’ve loved seeing the photos that diners have added to the Restaurant Week Instagram stream — we’ve added a few of our own — but we’re perplexed that someone has yet to stick a fork into their meal before taking a picture.

Why does this matter? Because we’ve got a $35 gift certificate to The Belted Cow in Essex Junction that we’ll give one lucky photo-taker at the end of Restaurant Week. But only if they’ve stuck a fork into their meal first. (The picture shown is the winning image from last year, from Kayla Mellen of Middlebury)

So don’t forget to stab those meals before pressing the button! Then upload the photo to either Twitter or Instagram — making sure to use the hashtag #vtrw — or post it to our Facebook wall. Early next week, we’ll announce a winner.
