Regina L. “Gina” Haddock, 74, of Richmond, Vt., passed peacefully on May 15, 2026, surrounded by family and friends. Born to John and Mary Alice Lynch on January 3, 1952, Gina grew up in West Roxbury, Mass., before moving to Vermont to attend Saint Michael’s College as part of its first graduating class to include women (1970-1974). She studied fine arts and English, formed lifelong friendships, and developed a deep love for Vermont and the St. Michael’s community.
Gina brought warmth, humor and energy to every chapter of her career. Over the years, she worked at the Radisson Hotel, served as a Vermont Transit tour guide leading trips throughout New England, bartended at Carbur’s, and later returned to her alma mater, SMC, as director of leadership giving. She then spent two decades as the development director at the Flynn Theater for the Performing Arts. There, her enthusiasm and gift for connecting with people left a lasting impression.
In retirement, Gina lovingly cared for her husband, Bill, during his battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She continued Bill’s “Business Beat” column for Richmond’s the Times Ink!, enjoying the chance to celebrate local people and businesses. Gina remained joyful, resilient and deeply engaged in her community, despite health challenges of her own. She loved spending time with her friends and family, reading, gardening, community center classes, walks with family dog Luna, and singing with her beloved granddaughter.
Gina is survived by her sons, Luke Haddock and his wife, Emily, and Matt Haddock and his fiancée, Hope; along with her granddaughter, Holly, and many dear friends who became family.
A service will be held on June 13, 2026, 11 a.m., at Richmond Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richmond Congregational Church or the Flynn in Burlington.
