State of the union? Booooooring.

If you’re lookin’ for a good (political) time tonight, we recommend you skip that snooze-fest of a speech and watch this clip of our own Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) appearing alongside — gasp! — Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) Monday night on CNN’s  “Situation Room.”

Here it is (with apologies for being slow on the uptake):

After you’re done watching, repeat after me: “DO YOU SUPPORT A CHAINED CPI?”

Calm down.

DO YOU SUPPORT A CHAINED CPI?!”

Calm down.

Got something to say?

  1. What is so frustrating about this piece is that Wolf Blitzer did not moderate it. Rep. Bachman repeatedly interrupted Sen. Sanders and Blitzer kept allowing it. At some point reasonable people can disagree, but need to be respectful. Rep. Bachman made no attempt to allow Sen. Sanders to finish his thoughts, nor answer his specific questions. Typical words with no meaning out of her mouth.

  2. At some point reasonable people can disagree and be respectful, but considering the two guests that wasn’t the purpose here since neither can be considered reasonable people.
    They are both loons…
Bachman is horrendous in her manners, seriously she can’t even figure out what the topic is let alone respond to it. Bernie, well he just throws out ridiculous generalizations based in fiction. Clearly this was going to be a sh!t show and I’m sure that was exactly the intention the producers had in mind.
