'More Light'

Northern Daughters in Vergennes has opened its second exhibition, named for the coming winter solstice. The show features small works by several artists new to the gallery — Bonnie Baird, Sobelman CortaPega, Rebecca Kinkead and Katie Loesel — alongside Anne Cady, Cameron Schmitz and Pamela Smith. CortaPega is an illustrator and collage artist living in Spain. On her website, she writes that she collects images of “stars, words, the ocean, miniature human beings, and objects of everyday use” to craft her composite pieces that “[tend] to focus on the relations between human beings.”
