Dedalus Wine Shop, Market & Bar — For many Burlington oenophiles, Dedalus is the place to buy wine. Why’s that? Because the purchasing team at the South End’s new wine shop, market and bar only stocks bottles it stands behind, 100 percent. Those vintages — sold at a variety of price points and sourced from around the world — taste of care and place and transport the drinker to a world far beyond the four walls within which they’re drinking. Since moving from Battery Street to Pine Street earlier this year, the shop pours dozens of its carefully curated wines by the glass in a charming, low-lit wine bar. Pro tip: Buy a bottle from the bar’s list at its sales-floor retail price and pair it with a small plate or three from chef Max Mackinnon.
