Obituary: Linda Boudreau Jewell

Linda Boudreau Jewell who was a resident of this area for most of her life, went to live with her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday morning Feb. 23, 2014.

Linda was surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter Angela in Highgate Springs.

She was born in Highgate, VT on 5/30/47 the daughter of Ralph and Bernice (Bard) King and was a graduate of the Swanton High School.

Linda started and successfully ran Boudreau Real Estate for many years. She loved to help people and took great joy in making people happy. She was a hard worker with a positive attitude that drew people to her. She was creative, funny and saw the good in everyone. She was a nurturer and touched the lives of many people both in the business world and her personal life. Her “can do” nature will be missed by all who knew her. Linda loved to work but her true love was for her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

At different points in Linda’s life she was a member of the Northwest Board of Realtors, Swanton Chamber of Commerce, Women helping battered Women and Prison Ministry at the NWCF. She also served on the Highgate Elementary and MVUHS School boards.

Linda is survived by her husband Brian Jewell of Highgate, VT, her daughter Angela Foster and her Husband Pete of Highgate Springs. Her son Christopher Boudreau and his companion Mary Hartman of Highgate, her sister Beth Lockerby and her husband Cecil of Highgate and her brother David King of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by her grandchildren Matthew Boudreau and his wife Amy of Severville Tenn., Sarah O’Neill and her companion Jeremy Stimson of Franklin VT., Ashley O’Neill of Highgate Springs and Benjamin O’Neill and his companion Tara Gagner of Highgate Springs, Corinne and Kassidy Foster of Highgate Springs and Annie and Molly Hartman of Highgate, as well as her great-grandchildren Zachary, Dominik, Bennett and Jacob. In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by two brothers, Larry and Gary King and an infant sister, Sharon.

Linda’s family would like to express their appreciation and sincere thanks to a few special individuals who greatly helped care for Linda and provided support to her family in their time of need. These people include Ann Grandchamp of FC Home Health, Mary Derosier, Jean Chevalier, Mary Hartman, Beth Libby, Amy Giroux, Bonnie Bloniarz and Beth and Jenny Lockerby.

At Linda’s request there will be no public calling hours or services.

Gifts in Linda’s memory may be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency - Hospice Program, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478.
