Obituary: Mrs. Regina A. Bushey

Mrs. Regina A. Bushey, age 92 years, died early Monday morning October 7, 2013, at the University Hospital in Augusta, GA with loving family at her side.

Born in Pike River, Quebec Canada on July 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Hertel and Marie (Mary) Paquette Rocheleau. She attended schools in St. Albans, VT and on October 29, 1940, was married to Harvey Lucien Bushey and they made their home in Highgate, VT. Regina worked at the former Union Carbide Corporation in St. Albans, helped her husband on the family dairy farm and raised their eight children. She and her husband Harvey moved to Alburgh upon their retirement. After Harvey's death on March 1, 2003, she moved to Edgefield, SC to live with her daughter Susan and husband Brian.

Regina leaves four daughters and their husbands, Joan and Charles Hatin of Alburgh, Diane and Robert Detro of San Diego, Calif., Susan and Brian Tessier of Edgefield, SC and Donna and Donald LaRocque of Rockford, TN; three sons, Harvey E. Bushey and his wife Mary of Fairfield, Roger Bushey of Highgate and Larry Bushey of St. Albans; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband Harvey, Regina was predeceased by her parents, Hertel and Mary Rocheleau; a son, Allen J. Bushey; her sisters, Helena Hemond, Leola Blais and Lucille Rocheleau and a brother, Arthur Rocheleau.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday October 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father Emmanuel I. Ajanma will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Bushey family lot in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral.
