Nectar's and Club Metronome will reopen on Friday, June 19.

The downtown Burlington nightclubs have been dark since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. A press release sent out on Wednesday announced a weekend schedule of live bands and DJs, as well as specifics regarding ticket sales and safety precautions the businesses will enact in order to maintain social distancing.

Tickets to each show must be purchased in advance, with a minimum of four tickets per sale. Members of each four-person party are encouraged to arrive together and will sit at predesignated tables, which will be spaced at least six feet apart, as per guidance from the Vermont Department of Health. Refreshments will be sold and served through table service only.

Nectar's will host multiple sets per evening. Between performances, the room will be cleared and cleaned, "including tables, chairs, contact doors and bathrooms," the release stated.

The lineup includes singer-songwriter Justin Panigutti at 6 p.m. on Friday, followed by two sets from jam band Swimmer at 8:30 and 11 p.m. Upstairs at Club Metronome, DJs Big Dog and C-Low host Nice Up, a night of dancehall reggae, Afrobeat and hip-hop at 7 p.m. The event begins with a screening of a past Vermont concert by roots reggae singer-songwriter Burning Spear. Proceeds will be donated to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Entertainment on Saturday, June 20, includes three back-to-back installments of the club's recurring Grateful Dead tribute night, Dead Set, which features Jerry Garcia Band guitarist Zach Nugent, at 6:30, 9 and 11:30 p.m.

Also on Saturday, Metronome presents a live-stream screening of indie-groove outfit Goose, at 7 p.m.
