To Pawlet-based visual artist and choreographer Schmidt, the universe is “an interconnected web of physical and mental relations whose parts are defined through the connections to the whole ...and are utterly interdependent.,” as she explained in an email. Her exhibition of prints, collages and assemblages titled “Blame It On My Youth,” on view until June 6 at Castleton Downtown Gallery in Rutland, relates to her exploration of the similarities between Eastern mysticism and quantum theory.
