A Reporter Encounters Rail Buffs — and an Unexpected Detour — on Amtrak's Inaugural Trip From Burlington

The Ethan Allen Express runs daily from Burlington's Union Station at 10:10 a.m. and arrives at New York City's Penn Station at approximately 5:45 p.m. Burlington-bound trains depart Penn Station at 2:20 p.m. and arrive at Union Station at 9:55 p.m. As of Tuesday, riders were no longer required to disembark and take a bus between Saratoga Springs and Albany.
