Obituary: Patrick Michael Underwood

Patrick Michael Underwood, age 46, a lifelong area resident died unexpectedly, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at his St. Albans residence.

Born in St. Albans on, November 6, 1969, he was the son of Michael Underwood and Mary (Underwood) Lucas. He graduated from BFA-St. Albans and for most of his working life was a self-employed contractor in construction, carpentry, painting and tree service.

Patrick will always be remembered for his kind heart, the immense love that he had for his two sons and his unorthodox sense of humor. He was an avid fisherman and dart player receiving many trophies and awards for both.

He leaves his two sons, Justin and Jason Underwood of Swanton; his mother, Mary Lucas and her significant other, Peter Bocash also of Swanton; his sister, Amy Underwood of Sheldon; his brother, Shawn Underwood and his wife Stacey of St. Albans as well as his dear friend, Bud Hemond of Swanton who was like a father to Pat.: Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and three great nieces.

Patrick was predeceased by his father, Michael Underwood in 2008; his maternal grandparents, Paul and Florence Lucas; his paternal grandparents, Raymond “Mickey” and Sybil Underwood; his aunt, Paula Langlais and dear friend, J.R. Lavee.

A Celebration of Patrick’s life will be held Monday, August 15, 2016, from 4 to 7p.m. at the American Legion, Green Mountain Post # 1, 100 Parah Drive, St. Albans. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
